Earth Hour, occurring every year, is a time when we give the world a break and try to use no electricity during an hour of your day. It occurred on Saturday, March 27, beginning at 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Giving an hour of your time to sit in the darkness will make the world that much different. Visit http://myearthhour.org to find out more about what you can do to help this world.

This is Earth Hour taking place in Sydney, Australia. You can the huge difference that it makes.
During Earth Hour, my family and I turned off all the lights in our house and sat and talked with each other at a candle-lit table. We sat there for the whole hour and felt compelled to further our assistance with helping our environment. My family decided to do this Earth Hour more than once a year, and help with as much as we can.
At my school, the lights are turned off in the hallway during each period. The cafeteria trays are easily washed, which prevents us from throwing away unnessecary things. There are many other ways our school is helping the environment, but these are just a specific couple that my school contributes.
I do worry about how the environment is changing. As a student, I can provide many participants from school to help out with the environment by contributing to something as little as Earth Hour. It is important to advertise the events, and if there is enough advertisement, then i’m sure that many other students would join me in such a wonderful cause.
